A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Here’s a solar system and a shovel.

An hour later, you’re on the Moon. That’s where the demo ends.

The real goal is to go from digging rocks to Dyson spheres and eventually a Type V civilization. I want it to feel like you actually dragged humanity through every stupid, massive step it would take to get there.

It’s also meant to be one of those games you just leave running on your desktop and check on all day.

Been working on this awhile. Finally decided to put it out there.

Roadmap

In the build

✅ Mine shafts, generators, smelters

✅ Oil and plastics

✅ Electronics

✅ Launch pad and reusable rockets

✅ Survey satellites and a relay network

✅ An orbital station you build one module at a time

✅ Moon landing

✅ Lunar mine and foundry, digging regolith instead of shipping it up

✅ Construction and cargo drones

✅ Lunar base, and a lunar elevator built out of materials that actually exist

✅ A mass driver that throws cargo off the Moon with a magnet

✅ Asteroid mining, split by rock: carbonaceous, silicate and metal

✅ Mining drones, and a ring for them to fly home to

✅ Mars landing, Mars habitats, and a township that stops needing a shipping list

✅ Floating cities on Venus, fifty kilometres up where it is room temperature

✅ Mercury run entirely by machines, then taken apart a layer at a time

✅ Ships that go in tiers: chemical, then nuclear thermal, then ion, then fusion

✅ Fusion power out past the belt, where there is no sunlight worth catching

✅ Helium-3, scooped out of four gas giants that are four different decisions

✅ Research labs, and research you can only get from the two worlds you agreed to leave alone

✅ Orbital habitats, once building in space beats living down a gravity well

✅ Solar power satellites, beaming it down

✅ Terraforming Mars

✅ Solar collectors around the sun until power stops being the thing you worry about

✅ A Dyson swarm, built one collector at a time until it closes

✅ Starlifting, pulling material straight off the star with a magnetic field

✅ An antimatter forge, a few grams a week out of sunlight nobody else was using

✅ An element forge, so the periodic table stops being something you find

✅ A stellar accelerator, the launcher that throws things out of the system

✅ Probes sent ahead to find somewhere worth going

✅ An ark with people on it, aimed at a star it takes generations to reach

✅ Landfall. Proxima b, a red sun farm and a flare cellar, and a relay home where every answer is eight years old.

Thirty six places you can build, across thirty nine bodies. Some are homes, some are factories, some are mines nobody visits, and two are places we agreed not to touch.

Not in yet

☐ A space elevator on Earth, with drones running up the cable. The Moon has one.

  Earth is the hard version.

☐ Cutting lasers

☐ A computation layer wrapped around the star

☐ Helium-3 dug out of lunar regolith. It is in the game, but it comes off the gas giants and the sun instead, because that is where it actually is.

Further out

☐ Engines that make the crossing in years instead of centuries. Crews come back younger than the shipyard that built them and every schedule breaks.

☐ Exotic matter. Made on purpose, in quantity, and held.

☐ Folding distance instead of crossing it.

☐ A wormhole that holds open for a second. Then a day. Then it's just equipment with a maintenance schedule.

☐ A gate network

☐ A black hole put to work

☐ Structures at galactic scale. The stars hang off the network instead of the other way around.

Next on my list

☐ Music. There isn't any right now, just UI sounds.

☐ Intro screen

☐ Balance pass based on how people actually play, not on my own test runs

☐ Offline progress. Still undecided.

Controls

- Left-click a body or a craft to select it

- Middle-drag, WASD or the arrow keys to pan (hold Shift to move faster)

- Mouse wheel, +/- to zoom, 0 to reset, H for home

- Everything else is one click in the list

The look of the procedural planets was designed with AI assistance.
No AI-generated Images ship in the game every planet is drawn by a shader at runtime.

No music. Windows only. The demo stops where the content stops, and the locked entries in the roadmap are where it's going.
